A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort if you have a web hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet amazingly intuitive, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll notice a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled without effort in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll find a mini logo conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With just a mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option through the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
